JT Goodson is a Financial Advisor with Alpha Planning. JT holds the CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™) designation, specializing his area of expertise within the pre-retirement life cycle phase. He is constantly striving to provide unique wealth planning solutions for each client.

Prior to joining Alpha Planning in 2022, JT started off working in this industry with a large firm based in downtown Cleveland. It didn’t take long for him to realize that bigger isn’t always better. He is proud to join Alpha Planning where our process and philosophy align with his core values, as well as putting the client’s best interests always at the top of mind. Through a combination of expert investment advice, tax planning, maximizing social security elections, and providing flexible and all-inclusive wealth strategies, he helps create financial plans that bring a sense of ownership, flexibility and financial comfort in an ever-changing world.

Before becoming a financial advisor in 2019, JT began his professional career as a golf professional at Lake Forest Country Club. On the weekends you’ll find JT spending time with his wife, Ellen, and son, Connor, on one of the many patios of Ohio City, playing golf, or putting on his chef’s hat and apron to cook the latest trendy dishes for his family and friends.
