New Year, New Adventures!

Howdy Alpha family!

I want to tell you all about the fun and big things that happened to me lately because I am SUCH a big girl now!

High-Five, I’m Five!

I turned FIVE on Halloween, which is the coolest birthday because you get cake AND candy! This year I dressed up as Princess Belle, and my dress was SO yellow and sparkly. I wore a tiara and had pretty gloves just like Belle in the movie. Daddy was acting silly as Lumiere and wore a funny candle hat on his head and made me laugh with his French accent. Mommy was Mrs. Potts and she wore a fancy teapot hat. Everyone sang happy birthday and I got to blow out five big candles! It was the funnest, sparkliest, most candy-filled birthday EVER!

Super Helper Aubrie

At school we did a food drive for Thanksgiving, which means you get to be a food superhero! Mommy and Daddy said we help people’s bellies not be rumbly. We went to the grocery store, and I got to zoom down the aisle picking out so many things! I picked five boxes of macaroni and cheese because that’s my favorite. Mommy let me pick up the giant soup cans, and I pretended I was super strong like a noodle robot. At home, we cleaned my playroom together. I looked at all my toys and chose the ones I thought other kids would like to play with. My heart felt all warm and cozy because I helped other kids have happy bellies and happy toys!

What Are Those Silly Tonsils?

I started the new year and found out I have tonsils…did you know they’re like squishy meatball lumps hiding way at the back of your throat? Mine are super huge, like monster tonsils! The doctor said they have to go, so I told my tonsils “Bye bye, big lumps!” I felt a little nervous, but Mommy and Daddy said I’m braver than a princess who fights dragons. The nurses were really nice and gave me princess stickers’ to decorate my sleepy mask with, and I got a new Princess Aurora doll! After my throat got super duper ouchie, I woke up and – SURPRISE! – I was in a popsicle kingdom! There was EVERY color of popsicle imaginable and I could eat as many as I wanted!! Now my throat is happy again and everyone says I’m THE bravest, snore-free, popsicle-chomping girl ever!
