i’m sorry I’ve been so quiet of late, but the life of an almost three-year old is tremendously busy. Let me share with you what I’ve been up to:
One of my newest favorite activities is helping in the kitchen. I love to help Mom and Dad cook by stirring different sauces, but especially cracking all the eggs. On Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, there were a few shells in our scrambled eggs, but I think they tasted delicious and added a little crunch to the “dish”. 😊
Secondly, I have taken quite a liking to gymnastics. For the past six months or so, I’ve been learning forward rolls, how to walk on a balance beam, swing from the monkey bars and jump on the trampoline! As fun as that is, at the end of class, they always play one of my favorite songs so that my friends and I can all dance together. It is quite a sight!
Lastly and perhaps my favorite (with no bias whatsoever), my Dad is teaching me how to play golf! A fun fact about me is that golf happens to be my favorite thing to watch on television, even above Cocomelon and Bluey. I know that may sound crazy, but I love to cheer for the golfers on TV and tell them when they hit a great shot! I’ve noticed that even though Mom won’t admit it, she’s starting to like golf too, which makes Dad even happier!
Above all the adventuring, I’ve been working very hard on my vocabulary. Sometimes I get a little frustrated when I don’t know the word I am trying to say, but it gets better each day. I have gotten to the age where I feel like I can do everything by myself, even if Mom and Dad disagree. I am ready! I like to put my shoes on by myself, get my food out of the cabinet or refrigerator without help, and even get dressed alone! I’ve heard rumblings from Mom and Dad that I might be ready for a “big girl” bed in the foreseeable future.
Well, I’m off on my next excursion! I hope everyone has a wonderful summer and we will all be blessed with good weather!
I look forward to seeing you at our August picnic! 😊
Until next time,
Aubrie Wren
This is adorable.
