Happy Summer Y’All!

Howdy again everyone – Aubrie here! I don’t like to stay still for very long, but my dad told me that a lot of you have been asking about me, so I figured it was time to say hello again.

I’ve done a lot of growing over the past few months! Running is my new favorite thing – I try to outrun mom and dad as often as I can, but they’re still a little bit quicker than me. I also love playing hide and seek, especially when it’s time to brush my teeth. 😊

My favorite adventure over the past few weeks is when I got to enjoy my first happy meal from McDonald’s! Let me say, you aren’t living until you’ve enjoyed a Happy Meal. I was overjoyed when I tried the tangy BBQ sauce on my chicken nuggets. The sauce was so good, sometimes I dipped my fingers without the chicken for a little extra zest! I’ve been trying a lot of new foods now that I have 10 teeth, but chicken nuggets are far and away my favorite choice!

On another note, I don’t know why my parents can’t comprehend what I am pointing at sometimes. I mean, I am pretty clear and adamant about what I want, but the English words keep coming out as “Dada” for everything. Eventually, they’ll catch on! My favorite word right now is “ball” – the three of us will sit in a circle and take turns throwing the ball back and forth to each other. My dad says I have a “great arm”, whatever that means? I can throw pretty far when I try my hardest!

I figure it’s time to start saying some more things so I don’t have to yell or cry….(sometimes I do it on purpose, just to see what kind of reaction I can get. 😉 I’m pretty sure mom and dad are catching on, but I don’t know for sure).

I love going for walks with my parents and bringing my dolls along in their stroller. I like to take care of them by feeding them, wrapping them in blankets and giving them hugs on a regular basis. I care a lot about my doll friends and my friends at daycare, as well. I overhear my teacher’s say I am one of the nicest in the class, always caring for others.

Well, it’s time for a summer stroll in the neighborhood. Keep cool everyone and wear the proper eye protection! Enjoy your summer – when I touch base again, I may be near a big birthday celebration.
